Overview

Restaurante Loredo, located on Ctra. de San Vicente in the Moncloa - Aravaca district of Madrid, offers a genuine taste of Spanish cuisine tucked away from the usual tourist paths. This local gem specializes in traditional dishes such as Paella Mixta, Entrecôte, and classic tapas like Patatas Bravas, Huevos Rotos con Jamón Ibérico, and Pedron Peppers. Its menu also features crowd-pleasers like Calamari Rings, Shrimp Crochet, and even vegetarian options like the Vegetarian Paella, catering to a broad range of palates.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it ideal for solo travelers, families, and those seeking an authentic dining experience in Madrid’s vibrant food scene. Several reviewers note the friendly and attentive staff, adding to the overall welcoming environment. One guest praised the generous portion sizes and the excellent balance between quality and price, highlighting it as a reliable option for hearty meals in the area.

While many appreciate the authentic flavors and local charm, some have found inconsistencies in certain dishes—specifically the fried calamari and croquettes, which a few diners described as lacking seasoning or oil-heavy. Despite these critiques, the general consensus leans toward Restaurante Loredo being a solid choice for those wanting a satisfying, unpretentious Spanish meal. The variety of offerings, from rich Cochinillo Asado to the indulgent Tarta de Dulce de Leche, ensures there’s something to delight every visitor.

Its convenient proximity to hotels and central locations makes it a practical stop for travelers exploring Madrid. Whether you are drawn by the promise of freshly poured Cerveza and Aperol or the hearty servings of Lamb with Peppers and Hamon, Restaurante Loredo seeks to offer an honest and flavorsome rendition of classic Spanish fare, framed by a casual yet cozy setting.

The paella was alright but the croquetas and Kalamari my boyfriend ordered was quite bad. I wouldn’t recommend to a friend

The fried squids were somewhat raw, lacking salt and too oily, just like the French fries. Although the atmosphere was nice, we didn’t had a pleasant experience.

Cheap and delicious food. Had a entrecot and was so surprised to see how big the portion was. Very good price and quality ratio. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Definitely a recommendation for solo travelers and families.

I was told to go to the non-touristic places for authentic, delicious, and filling meal and God that was so true. We had an amazing dinners including Paella for 2, a huge juicy Entrecôte and burger, beers, and two Tapas for a very reasonable price. I will come back every day !

It’s 20 meters away from our hotel, we stumbled to the place looking for “gambas a ajillo” or shrimp on hot plate. Found it there, and Faber helped us with other selections. We ended up going there every night even we tried to go somewhere else but still coming back here coz the food is good, reasonable price and the service is excellent.

We had a family dinner at the restaurant. I have to say that the food and quality is beyond the expectation. The price is very fair and the portion is massive. Highly recommend.

The place is quite nice, especially in the evenings and nights. All day long, the place is busy. You can sit outside. Menu is wide and anyone can find something to enjoy. The prices are quite reasonable. In the evenings and nights, with a nice weather, it is quite enjoyable to sit outside and enjoy some dishes and drinks. It was quite enjoyable for us. The dishes are not the best in town, to be honest. But with these prices, they are good! Staff is helpful and kind.

Local restaurant that serves a wide variety of food. The mixed paella was delicious and I'm not a huge fan of clams and mussels. I was really intrigued to try it. The vegetable paella was also delicious. We had calamari, potatoes with a spicy sauce, and Iberian ham. Everything was tasty. We used Google translate to communicate and our waiter was very accommodating. We highly recommend this place.
